ANJEER PLANT:-It is a deciduous tree or large shrub, growing to a height of 7-10 m source of the fruit also called the fig.

Uses: Fruits are consumed fresh or dried or maybe processed to produce jams. It has also been used in pharmaceuticals for a wide range.

Cultivation: Fig prefers area having arid or semiarid environment,Rooting or hardwood cuttings is the common method of propagation.The yield increases with increase in canopy size of the tree. The harvesting season starts from May-June. The fruits are harvested in 2-3 day intervals manually. The fruit should be picked when they are soft and wilt at the neck.

Marketing: Demand of fig is increasing both for fruit as well as the plant itself. Therefore it is widely grown worldwide.
