APPLE BER PLANT:-Introduction: Apple Ber is an evergreen shrub also known as Indian jujube. It appears to be like a green apple.
Uses: All parts of the plant- Bark, leaves, root and stem find their use in preparing medicines.
Cultivation: Apple ber requires hot and dry climatic conditions. It requires soils ranging from shallow to deep and from gravelly and sandy to clay. Land should be prepared well by ploughing, harrowing fine levelling and removing any weeds. The best time for plant sowing is during March to July. The Ber tree can be propagating through seeds, T-budding. Ber fruits will be ready for harvest 5 -6 months after flowering. The average yield of 20kg/plant can be expected in 1st production.
